“Isn't it odd how much fatter a book gets when you've read it several times?" Mo had said..."As if something were left between the pages every time you read it. Feelings, thoughts, sounds, smells...and then, when you look at the book again many years later, you find yourself there, too, a slightly younger self, slightly different, as if the book had preserved you like a pressed flower...both strange and familiar.”

Book Quote Saturday! (29)—Eleanor Roosevelt

BOOK QUOTE SATURDAY!

Do you sometimes feel like you are less than anyone and everyone else? That can be a curse that many people are afflicted with. I came across this little gem while searching for book quotes for this post today.

“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.
~Eleanor Roosevelt, This is My Story

It is true that what others think of us can not hurt us unless we let it. When people say something hurtful to us or about us we need to consider the source. People can’t make us feel bad about ourselves or feel inferior unless we allow them to do that. What are your thoughts?

Happy reading!
