“Isn't it odd how much fatter a book gets when you've read it several times?" Mo had said..."As if something were left between the pages every time you read it. Feelings, thoughts, sounds, smells...and then, when you look at the book again many years later, you find yourself there, too, a slightly younger self, slightly different, as if the book had preserved you like a pressed flower...both strange and familiar.”

Audio Book Review: 15 Seconds by Andrew Gross

I recently borrowed this audio book from the library: 15 Seconds by Andrew Gross and in so doing I have discovered that I do not like audio books. I had a hard time following the story line but then it was being read to me while my attention was being diverted elsewhere. The narrator did all the parts and somehow the female version of his voice tended to put me off rather than make me want to keep listening. I may want to get the hardcover version and actually read the story rather than have it read to me.

This was definitely a lesson learned for me. I don't believe I will be listening to a book in an audio version anymore. My rating for the audio version of this book is 1 *. In all fairness to Andrew Gross I may want to get the hardcover version to read and then review it because I have read books by him before and found them interesting.
