“Isn't it odd how much fatter a book gets when you've read it several times?" Mo had said..."As if something were left between the pages every time you read it. Feelings, thoughts, sounds, smells...and then, when you look at the book again many years later, you find yourself there, too, a slightly younger self, slightly different, as if the book had preserved you like a pressed flower...both strange and familiar.”

Book Quote Saturday! (2)

I have been reading Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert and today the quote I want to share with you comes from that book. It is a quote that I read often during the course of a chaotic week:

I look at the Augusteum, and I think that perhaps my life has not actually been so chaotic, after all. It is merely this world that is chaotic, bringing changes to us all that nobody could have anticipated

  1. Yet the world has changed much and then again not at all.

    Have a terrific day. ☺

While your comments are appreciated, I must ask that you do not nominate me for any awards. Happy reading and have an awesome day!
